Project Bubaloo is a non-profit focused on spreading community awareness and funding vital research that will advance congenital heart disease (CHD) treatment and care. The term congenital means “born with” and having CHD means a person was born with a heart that hasn’t developed correctly. It affects 1 in 100 or 40,000 children per year and is the #1 cause of birth defect related deaths in infants. Too many children are dying and we need to do more. CHD has left a lasting hole in the hearts of my family after the passing of my nephew, Theo. There is no cure, and we want to help change that.
We’ve partnered with a blanket manufacturer that cares about the environment and people as much as we do. Located in India, our maker complies with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and has an above average rating on the AMFORI index with numerous certifications for environmental safety.

Along with safe working conditions, they provide meaningful, ethical work for their employees. Their effluent water treatment plant is efficient in decreasing water pollution and greatly reduces impact on water supplies. It’s important to us to be transparent which is why we’ve partnered with a manufacturer who cares about human rights and environmental responsibility.
